The Frank Burkitt Band are having an excellent end to 2018. They’re about to launch into a 30 date (or more) tour of New Zealand, followed by a long stint overseas in Australia and the UK. They’ve just been announced as finalists for the Tui for Best Folk Artist 2019, which will be awarded at the Auckland Folk Festival on January 27th.

Now, they’ve announced the release date for their exciting live EP – Lost But Alive, recorded in early November at Vogelmorn Hall in Wellington. They had special guests Oscar Laven on trumpet and Louis Thompson-Munn on keys, and they are presenting a selection of new songs, just in time for their tour.

For release on 30th of December at Whare Flat Folk Festival, and released through us, Second Hand Records, Lost But Alive will be The Frank Burkitt Band’s second release of 2018, and tops off a wonderful year for the band, with multiple festival appearances in February and March.

They’ve shared the first track and video on their Facebook page here.
