Together, Toni Randle and Andrew Keegan make the heart of folk/chamber pop group Eyreton Hall, who today announce the release of their new album Spaces, due on Friday 1st March on Marigold Music.
Self-written and co-produced with Ben King (Goldenhorse, Grand Rapids), Spaces is an authentic songbook from Randle and Keegan – written in the depths of coping with loss and grief, recovery, and finding hope and new beginnings. The ten-track story is the hearty follow up to their debut album Featherstitch, which prompted love from niche folk blogs and journalists around the globe.
The pair are independent New Zealand label Marigold Music’s most recent signing.
Eyreton Hall have released the title track and single ‘Spaces’ today, alongside a truly stunning video created by Courtney White and designed by Jared Kahi.
‘Spaces’ continues where Eyreton Hall’s last album Featherstitch left off, Randle’s unique and bell-like vocals, lyrics that require multiple listens and much pause and rewind, and the solid groove of Keegan’s drums. Delightful and delicate strings and woodwind supports the harmonies. The duo have the odd makeup of a singer and a drummer, and ‘Spaces’ brings to the fore those elements perfectly. We can’t wait to hear more from the record!
Four years in the making, Friday 1st March will be an exciting day for Eyreton Hall fans, which we certainly count ourselves among.
