Paper Cranes’ beautiful sophomore album Voices is due for release on January 18th 2019, and to celebrate, this mesmerising folk-pop ensemble is set to embark on an extensive tour of Aotearoa in the New Year.

While Voices draws on their past sound, the Cranes’ new artistic whole is lighter and more hopeful than their last offering The Road Home.

Voices delves into themes of togetherness and relationships, the echoes that pull us together and send us apart. In its darkness and lightness, the album is about doubt and freedom, the changing seasons, the decisions that lead us, the lies we’re told and the search for truth.

Paper Cranes weave their stories into captivating and dynamic live performances in songs that move between delicacy and outright abandon. Husband-and-wife team Fraser andNaomi Browne are the driving force behind the group, with lyrics and music influenced by Fraser’s background in literature and Naomi’s Japanese upbringing.

Paper Cranes have performed at a number of festivals including Festival One and theAuckland Folk Festival, and with three nationwide tours under their belt,  they havetravelled the country, winning over audiences in support of their 2012 e.p. Oh, Love! and debut album of 2015, The Road Home.

Tickets for the Voices Album Tour are now available from Undertheradar (except Wellington (Just The Ticket) and Palmerston North (Globe Theatre)). Auckland bandFables will be supporting all North Island shows except Festival One.
